Reebok Deck Cardio DVD Section Details
1. Introduction + User Guide
Section Running Time 5 Minutes
This section is very useful for anyone who has not seen the Deck
in action before. Forget an instruction manual, cause the DVD takes
you though the Reebok Deck in person in no time at all. It also
shows you how to attach resistance tubes to the legs and backrest.
Next we are told to pay attention to the intensity of our
workout, and told what level we should be aiming to exercise at.
This is a totally individual thing and is based on how you feel
throughout the workout, ensuring you don’t over do it, but doing
enough to get the best out of your workout.
2. The Workout
Section Running Time 1 Hour
Warm up
Running Time 15 Minutes
As with any good home workout video, this one starts with a warm
up. At around 15 minutes this is a very thorough warm up which will
warm you up from head to toe.
Circuits
Running Time 41 Minutes
This section starts off using the Deck like a Reebok Step, in the
traditional Step aerobic routine format and some basic moves that
are repeated throughout the cardio circuits.
Then comes some resistance work and a chance to get your breath
back. The instructor actually puts her
resistance tubes in the Deck
at this point, just as you will need to at home. This means no
stopping and starting the DVD to keep up with the instructor,
excellent.
We now go to some different cardio work from the Step aerobic
stuff we started on, and then to some different resistance
exercises. This is the circuit that continues for the rest of the
circuits section.
For each exercise you are shown how to do the basic version, what
your posture should be like while doing it and what your position
either on or in relation to the Deck should be.
That’s usually for the first set of the exercise, as you continue
doing more of the exercise you’re then shown how to increase the
difficulty and intensity of the exercise should you want to.
Slow Stretch
Running Time 4 Minutes
This is a cool down section and is just as important as the warm
up at the beginning. You are shown what to do, how to breathe when
doing it and where you should feel the stretch, to ensure the
stretches are done correctly.
Extras
Going to this section will let you jump straight to the part of
the workout you want (warm up, circuit or slow stretch), exactly the
same as a chapter menu on a feature film DVD.
